MARALA

Branding Identity Design

Marala is a fashion brand born in the Canary Islands and based in Barcelona. They specialize in clothing for events with simple but flattering patterns. All of their products are made with love and care in Spain.

In this project, our goal was to capture the island vibe in a fun and sexy way. The name Marala is a combination of two Spanish words MAR (sea) and ALA (wing / sail). It also means Swan in Hindu. In this branding identity, we play with various vintage island elements such as illustrated seashells, black and white analog photography, and island maps. To give it some extra depth we use textures such as faded pink wall texture with palm tree shadows and handmade paper texture.

In the lettering of the logo, you can find many organic shapes and curves that represent the waves in the ocean.
